Created and hosted by Malik Yoba, trans ally, activist / actor along with Carmen Carrera, trans model, actor / activist. This two-hour workshop is a creative conversation around love, trauma, healing, and the trans experience. We will create a safe space to celebrate, promote understanding, growth, gain encouragement and provide tools to help navigate the often-uncertain path around gender identity, transitioning and inclusion.
This workshop has been developed to help close the gap in understanding and acceptance between the transgender community and those who are seeking to become allies and supporters. We will also explore what love and trauma look like from various perspectives from policy, community, healthcare, education, family and interpersonal relationships.
ALL ARE WELCOME and admission will be on a first come basis and we will also be filming these sessions as part of a larger documentary series.
Releases will be provided and must be signed by all who chose to participate . We look forward to learning and growing with you.
